I personally could not do anything for the whole day after watching this.  Makoto Shinkai really knows where to go to emotionally compromise me. He’s also the director of 5 Centimeters Per Second… so this should tell you all you need to know about this movie.

The compeling story of mother raising her kids after the death of her half wolf husband. In an attempt to find a better environment to raise her children, who also happend to be half wolf, she will move away from the city. A beautiful movie from the same director of Summer Wars and The girl who leapt through time.

Possibly the best anime of 2013, Suisei no Gargantia is perfect, from the themes, to the characters and the animation. It’s one of those short and very well made anime exploring themes like the “meaning of life” and the “struggle of understanding each other”.

Hataraku Maou-Sama !

I was not really impressed by Hataraku Maou-Sama. The first few episodes were really great, it even made me laugh out loud on multiple occasion. However, the whole thing became gimmicky and not funny. But maybe it’s only because I expected better after seeing the first few episodes.

I really enjoy anime with big government overreach, these dystopian society fill with inequality and injustice. A society with just enough similarity to our current situation that we can step back and really wonder what would we do in the same situation.
